A Few Shots From The Streets Of Dublin

Dublin is a busy city, people are friendly and helpful, I even got a ride to my hotel from the train station from the parents of a lad I met on the train down from Belfast, really nice! The weather has been quite cooperative, a fair bit warmer than up in Belfast, and not a drop of rain. I thought I was crazy going to Scotland and Ireland in December, it's about a lot warmer here than in wintry Denver.

In Dublin Now, My Visit To The Guinness Storehouse Was Really Cool

At $21 Dollars the entrance seemed a bit steep at first, but considering you get a pint at the end, and a 360 view of Dublin, and that the whole thing was really well done, it is a must do in Dublin. Crazy facts about Guinness: the founder, Alfred Guinness in 1759 signed a 9000 year lease on the land the brewery, at St James Gate in Dublin, of course still occupies.  He and his wife had 21 children, of which 10 lived to adulthood, the great, great…grandson of one of them still runs the company, the co. began paid vacations, pensions and widows benefits in the 1700's, they've always been very generous towards the community.  We must all drink Guinness!
